Unfreezing of molecular motions in protein-polymer conjugates: a calorimetric study

Abstract Protein-polymer conjugates are a promising class of biohybrids. In this work, the dynamics set biodegradable myoglobin-poly(ethyl ethylene phosphate) (My-PEEP) with variations in number attached polymers and their molar mass dry-state, have been investigated to understand role polymer on protein dynamics. We performed Differential Scanning Calorimetry measurements between 190 300 K, observing large-scale arising from reorganization conformational states, i.e. within 100 s timescale. The application an annealing time during cooling scans was used investigate non-equilibrium glassy-state samples, relaxation enthalpy at different temperatures.
